Dakota Tannahill

Dakota works full-time as a junior interior designer. Her role is an essential part of AsterHouse Design’s team, as she consults with senior team members about our clients and their needs. She enjoys being around people and helping them. Before coming to work at AsterHouse, Dakota taught school for three years. Her patience and calm leadership have been an asset to our team as we guide clients through what could, otherwise, be a stressful time in their lives. Dakota has a passion for turning a space into a home. Working in interior design has allowed her to use her artistic ability to turn someone’s most intimate space into something they would have never imagined possible. She loves being a designer because she can be different and think outside the box. Creating a layered and inviting look for every client is something she strives for. Using textures is her favorite part of designing. She loves all kinds of styles and that is what makes creating a look for someone else fun and challenging. Dakota grew up on a farm in Durham, KS. She and her husband, Travis, have a love for the great outdoors - whether that's riding horses, going to the lake, or taking a walk outside. This comes through in her designs, as she loves to bring the outside in. Dakota attended Kanas State University where she played volleyball all 4 years. She lives for the summertime and hamburgers with watermelon. She and Travis love to travel and going on a mission trip to Alaska was one of the most inspirational things she has ever done.
